Contour & Highlight Routine!

Hello Loves,

I've received multiple request on my Instagram for a makeup tutorial. I'm sorry it have taken me so long to make one. TBH, I have no idea how to make a makeup tutorial, so this post is not be very professional. However, here is a simple Highlight, Baking and Contour/Bronzing tutorial.

Highlight?

"Highlighting is to create artificial light to your nose bridge, cupid’s bow, cheek bones, and eyebrows. You use a concealer or light foundation and put it on places of your face that you want to highlight" Diamond Girl

Baking?

“Baking refers to letting translucent powder sit on your face for five to 10 minutes, which allows the heat from your face to set your base foundation and concealer, and then dusting it off your face, leaving you with a creaseless, flawless finish” Cosmopolitan

Contour/Bronzing?

“Contouring is to create an illusion of a shadow around your temples, jaw line, nose, and cheek bones to accentuate your bone structure and slim down your face & nose. This is perfect for when you want to add more definition to your face." Daniel S

Let's Get Started!

What you need:

- ChiChi Sponge (Buy Here)
- MAC: Prep + Prime (Buy Here)
- New York Colour: Bronzing Face Powder: 720A Sunny (Gifted to me but can Buy Here)
- Tarte: Swirl Power Contour & Bronzer Brush (Gifted to me but can Buy Here, US only)
- Essence of Beauty: Blending & Eye-shadow Brush (Buy Here)

Steps:

1. Apply a light coat of foundation all over your face, followed by concealer in the following areas (Picture:1). Blend well into skin.

2. Apply a generous amount of translucent powder over the concealer (Picture:2).

3. Start applying bronzing at the beginning of your ear diagonally to the corner of your lip. Followed by, your hairline & jawline (Picture: 3)

4. Using a blending brush, dust of all the excess translucent powder on the face.

5. Using your fingertips, apply some bronzer and contour the nose lightly, ensuring it looks as natural as possible.

Ta-Da! You're Finish!

  16. This is really amazing! I confess I don't do that, but purely because I guess I am lazy - and I am shortsighted, so I think I would make a mess if I did contouring (even with lenses on :) So I can only say I admire your technique so much and I wish I could do that! And you look beautiful!
